FYI I've been breaking the bank with these wedding expenses that seem to attack all in the same time..WHOA! When I see a check cashed out in my account from one of my wedding vendors, I feel like screaming. However, my garment obsessions keep me somewhat balanced to temporarily deter the weight of stress.

Black hose and shorts...mmmmm

So this trend of wearing black opaque hose under shorts is odd to me. it's cute but do I dare try it? yes!!! my fashion voice tells me to "do it" and "do it quick". I'm going to try it out. I mean don't get me wrong. I love wearing black hose UNDER DRESSES and SKIRTS! but shorts and some, wore it with denim shorts was all too new to me anyways. Def a cute lil' ensemble that Olivia has below.. allowed me to dig deeper enough to pursue this look. Is it in you?

Stripes

I was never a stripes person and maybe, subconsciously, avoided it. I browsed my closet the other day and I don't seem to own very many. But I did purchase a blue and white stripe blouse from Nordy's and found it to be extremely useful. I wore it to dinner with friends, wore it when I rolled out of bed for a hair appointment and even wore it tucked in with a pencil skirt to work. Let me add. I don't normally wear an article of clothing quite so much especially with my self implementing rule of thumb of not repeating outfits, that I never realized how much wear I can get in one week with one distinctive piece. My suggestion is get yourself a striped top. It's totally useful, not that boring as your typical plain tees and totally versatile. Let me add, I wash my clothes even if I wore it for 5 minutes since I do suffer from extreme OCD issues and hate dirt, grime, grease and germs and this particular top did not shrink an inch!!. I have to declare this top..my all time fave for the MONTH.

I've been on a hunt for a new pair of jeans. Not sure why just itching to get a new pair. I have enough and certainly am in no need to buy another pair. What makes this craving so horrible is the fact that I have a wedding to budget for and can't shop period. However, being the mighty shopaholic as well as constantly picturing different outfits to put together, I just can't help but crave it. Anyway, here are some jeans I'm peeping. I always purchase some great quality jeans, my fave being J Brand, 7s (naturally), Citizens, Miss Sixty..just to name a few but the ones I have seem awfully played out aka I just want NEW ones. I can look, right?

Totally mix your style up. You don't have to be matchy matchy. The important thing is to find items to pull the look you are going for. In this case, I did a spring look for jeans day and that's only because the sunshine seems to be peeking & the rain temporarily on hold.

Since my pants, shoes, and bag are neutral, my shirt had to add a pop of color. I would've chosen any color as long as it was a deep, rich color. No seagreen, no cobalt, no neon yellow (well...never neon PERIOD). And I kept it simple with the gold accessories. I mentioned in my introduction that I'm an accessory phobe so I usually try to limit myself to two pieces of jewelry, unless I'm stacking bracelets or layering necklaces. Or the pieces are simple enough so that I don't feel like a walking Christmas tree.

In this ensemble, the pop of color is in the accessories--the bag and the watch. I added a touch of sparkle with the hoops, watch, and studded slingbacks, which are being showcased beautifully due to the tapered trousers. Happy Monday!

When it comes to work outfits, dressing trendy and complying with company standards may pose as a challenge. Challenge number 1 ..."black leggings". In a business atmosphere, black leggings do have a high risk of being considered NOT adhering to the dress code. So here is a way to try to pull of the black leggings and still stay professional. I was inspired to wear black leggings so I can still pull of the boots to prepare for the weather prediction..RAIN. Let's face it. Having to get up early Monday morning and then have to deal with rain giving you a bad hair day sucks. So why not go through the agony being stylish and comfortable.

Okay. If you are anything like me, you're completely tiresome and bored seeing UGGs so publicized for the cold, winter season. Now don't get me wrong. I do own a pair of UGGs which I purchased back in early 2000 when Paris Hilton was rockin them all over Tinsel Town..Yes, I do remember my first pair. I was on the "wait list" and here they are more than 5 years later..still a hot commodity.
